One's Never Alone With a Rubber Duck.

So today I was on the phone and the topic of how I don't like women in fiction came up. So then I thought why not think of the women I do like and make a list. *eyes glint*

Okay. So starting with.

1. Juliet Burke

Juliet, I think, is what I would like to be. She's intelligent, witty, rational, a good judge of character, cunning yet kind and caring. And the best part: She has a mind of her own. :)

2) Arya Stark

She's a fierce, brave misfit in trying to sharpen her swords skills while learning how to fight instead of sowing and being a lady. I adore her.

3) Alice
Mess with her? She answers with her mad killer skillz and telekinetic powers. 'Nuff said.

4) Sakura Kinomoto

Sometimes, there's no rational reason. I was young. I wanted her superpowers. And I wanted to be cool like her.
And I also appreciated Syaoran Li with my child cartoon hormones.

P.S. Wonder Woman is a nobody. She wears no clothes and cares more about her tiara and reflective bracelets. She is a superhero lie. YesIJustSaidThat.

5) Hermione Granger

She's smart and clever. And kind of a social misfit. But fiercely loyal and caring. She also suffers from her fear of failure which pushes her to do better and I completely relate to that. Love her.

Anywayyyy. Be back in maybe a month or faster in three weeks. A little busy right now. :/ Lots of tests and school and other stuff to keep me off the bloggities.

Have fun out there yeah? (:

Youtube Musicians + Math = AWESOME.

As it often happens on the internet, a link leads to a link which leads to a link, which leads to something awesome.

And today for me, my good friend Morgan Woodring's link lead me to a link which lead me to link which lead me to this.

Don't you just love awesome things like this, and by this I mean Math Musicians writing songs about the most interesting of all mathematical constants--->PI.

And BONUS. It's kind of catchy!
He uses a wide array of completely nerdy instruments like the xylophone and the ukelele and the accordion and the banjo and the glockenspiel.
Oh yeah, a glockenspiel.

This viral video is the creation of one Michael John Blake, who you've got to check out. His bands are here, here, here and here.

The last "here" being this superamazingohmygoditssogood band called Mnemonic Sounds, where Michael John Blake plays guitar. Their sound is...is like candy. A little bit of Owl City mixed with Tegan and Sara and Lights[ who by the way has one of the best songs in the world called February Air]. You should listen to Keeping It Quiet and Carousel by them.

Ah, the internet, what wondrous things you connect us to....

The World Forgetting By The World Forgot

Foreword: This is a movie review as an afterthought of a very mind-intoxicated girl. You have been warned.

saw the most disorienting, beautiful, out-of-the-world movie. wow.
So aesthetically shot.
the chaotic yet elegant disentegration of his memories...slowly fading away.
his realisation of his love for her igniting him to find some way to rectify his mistake.
the artistic and intellectual take on what happens during a lobotomy (in this case, to erase memories).
the true depiction of human relationships.
...and the constant emotional foundation
It fascinates me.
It amazes me.
More importantly, it strikes a chord.

Wow.
Wow.
Wow.

Lesson: Carry that Blade. For a Long Time.

1) Watched Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na. Hated it the first time. Loved it the second time. Learned to give things a second chance. :O

2) Watched 127 Hours again. Loved it more.

What I loved about the movie was how the central focus on Aron was amazingly invigorating. You forget where you are and for some time, you're stuck in the damn canyon with him feeling his dilemma. It was so simple but managed to convey a lot more than what it intended to. Moreover, I loved the lack of background music at places you'd expect them to be. It makes you feel like you're not in a movie but in real life.
Franco is ah-mazing in this movie. Perfectly flawless acting. He easily manoevres himself into dark and intense from quirky and funny. Loved him.

Isn't this a nice picture? :)

3) Watched Taken again. I just watch things again and again, don't I? -.-
Liam Neeson is badass.

And everything is connected. Because Maggie Grace is in it. And it excited me when I watched it because I first watched Taken on the day Shannon Rutherford died for me on Lost. Heehee. and there she was alive and innocent and sweet as opposed to the crazy, narcissistic hawbeetch she was. :O

:) so today was fun for me.
I also learnt that I should probably carry a sharp Swiss knife or blade with me so I can cut my arm off in case I can't unstick it from the boulder it gets stuck under. :O

Lesson of life. :O yeah. I'm enlightened. 8-D

Chocolate Boy Or Hired Assassin ?

So, this one time my mom bought this lame/cheesy/girly movie called CATCH AND RELEASE.
She watched.
I watched it.
She loved it.

I hated it.
And then, I saw it again,
And again.
And again.
And again.
And then,

I LOVED IT.
And it soon became one of my favorite romantic movies.

And soon I had a more than massive crush on the guy who played Fritz.
He was just the best bad boy with a good heart. He completely had IT going on. He was a complete chocolate boy and the kind that you fell in love with within 5 seconds of him uttering a word. He was charismatic, the hair just worked wonders on this face. And it

didn't hurt that he had incredibly sexy dialogue and two sex scenes.

Less than a year later, a much awaited HITMAN released. For someone who had played the game,(And who has a weakness for shooters) I was really excited about how they would adapt it to the screen.
And suffice to say my mind. WAS BLOWN.

And then it came on TV, and I saw it.

And then I saw it again.
And again.
And again,
And then,

I LOVED IT.

And soon, I had a massive crush on the guy who played Hitman.
He was so sexy. As far as genetically engineered assassins go, He was pretty badass. He fighting was sharp and brutal. And soon all the violent boy genes in my brain were firing simultaneously with all the "Ooh, He's sexy!" girl genes. And it didn't hurt that he was always looked posh in a suit and had mad gun and combat skills.

In the subsequent years, I saw both those movies and never realized....
BOTH OF THEM ARE THE SAME.
THEY ARE ONE.
THEY.

ARE.
TIMOTHY OLYPHANT.

It was amazing how he portrayed two insanely distinct characters, so well.
For a long time, I could not tell that he was in both at all. They are just so different.

I was so shocked and so excited.
Also, his jaw is too die for.

Two of the best things in a man, chocolate boyness and lethal assassin skills, all rolled into one, making him one incredibly sexy, intimidating, and romantically perfect man ever.

MIND BLOWN.

Winter is ending. But winter is coming. (:

Learned that A Dance With Dragons is releasing on July 21. Can't believe it. Can't wait for it. A Storm Of Swords was a masterpiece. And GRRM wrote ages to write this one. So the suspense builds and his tricks work on us mere mortals.

Also, I am amazed at the fact that A Game Of Thrones starts immediately after my reshuffling test. (: With F1. And MotoGP. April is going to be SUCH a good month. ^___^

Since I'm here to gush, I'm going to introduce you to some of the characters. *_*

That's Eddard Stark played by Sean Bean and the little girl is Arya Stark. She is awesome. :D She'd rather sword fight with a stick than work on her hair and clothes to look pretty for the boys.

That's Bran holding the bow with Jon Snow and Robb. Bran doesn't have much of a role in the first book but we know that he'll have a huge part to play in the future. Robb is the immediate lord-in-line while Jon Snow is the Lord's 'bastard.'

That's Lena Headey (yay. I love the character connection to Terminator, don't you?) who plays Cersei Lannister, the antagonist. She symbolises pure evil and genius. Love her. Hate her. It's confusing.

Tyrion Lannister, commonly called "The Imp." He's clever, witty and misunderstood. GRRM show being a dwarf as the worst kind of physical 'ugly' and manifests it into the most wonderful character in the series.
Jaime Lannister. Didn't like him till A Storm Of Swords. Interesting turn of events after the book. And no Catelyn did not sever his manhood. ):
Lastly, they are Daenarys Stormborn and Viserys Targaryen. They are the Last ofTargaryens who are the 'Blood of the Dragon.' Originally the Targaryens ruled, until the Mad King Aerys was defeated by Robert Baratheon, Eddard Stark and Tywin Lannister.

I really hope that the TV series does not make A Song of Ice And Fire a mainstream series that everybody reads. It would really disappoint me. These things do.

Yet I'm excited. Verrry excited. The books are fantastic and exalting to me. They transport me to a different world of fantasy and wonder and emotions and adventure and all sort of extremeties. Throughout the books there is pace, spontainety, intrigue, suspense interspersed with violence, language and the realistic approach to the fragility of human existence and vulnerability to death. It takes imagination and courage to create such a world with such intricacy and detail that never bores. GRRM is a fantasy God.

My favourite series ever. On TV. :)
Hell yeah I'm excited.
